I chose Spiritualism because of there isn't a set structure to what I'm meant to believe and what I'm not. It fits my lifestyle choice, I enjoy feeling a connection with Source, a connection with my self and my higher self. It can be a difficult journey - any kind of religion - sometimes we feel so lost in ourselves, in the sea of our normal every day, hectic lives that we can feel spiritually adrift.
Tonight, Sean and I sat and discussed Soul Cycles. I believe in a version of re-incarnation (don't yell at me, I know there is probably only one "official" version but hear me out!), I believe when we die our energy, our Soul, returns to source. There we remember all our Soul Cycles, we remember all the lessons we've learned each time we've been on Earth. If we still need to learn something then our Soul returns to Earth, enters a new human and lives again. Each time we return to Earth we forget what lessons we have learned and it is our job to awaken our Soul purposes once again. If we struggle to do this life gives us little nudges, if we don't get those it gives us a harder nudge - each time we miss those signals the nudges form bricks and those bricks start to form a wall. Then all of a sudden our life starts to get hard as we find ourselves facing up to a wall of challenges we refused to face the first time round. If we successfully pass these challenges however our Soul lightens and moves toward the next lesson.
It sounds tiresome, but don't we spend our whole lives learning? And if we refuse to learn we become somewhat depressed about life, no?
So throughout our life we learn, then throughout the life of our Soul we learn. Finally we reach the highest stage of our Soul awareness when I believe we have the choice as to whether we return to help others or absorb into Source.
As the US dollar so clearly states "In God We Trust" - without any tangible proof, the US government puts trust in God. In a similar vein, I put trust in Source and trust that something else, something bigger, connects us all and is out there that we will return to when it is our time. Soul Cycles.
