So first up this year, was Mum's birthday but I had already bought that extravagant present so we'll just slide on past. Next up is Valentines Day, followed swiftly by Mothers Day and then Easter. I'm working on these as we speak!
A simple Valentines this year as bubba said "we're not doing anything" - say that in a whiney annoying voice, that's how I'm saying it in my head. So I'm staying on the simple side.
Mothers Day is up after that, I've already got that figure out. A lovely pot I picked up from TKMaxx filled with some beautiful flowers and plants that can go outside when they grow a bit too big for the kitchen. I'm happy with that one as well.
Then Easter, it seems to be the most work for presents. I had a Hobbycraft order arrive yesterday with a collection of little things to help me along the way, as well as an Amazon order containing a collection of silicon moulds to make chocolate Easter eggs.
So I did my first batch of Easter egg shells yesterday and they turned out pretty well! Later I made this cool little 3D bunny as well with some super dark Green and Black's chocolate I had sitting around and some dehydrated strawberry pieces - a good present for Mum I think!
It takes a lot of work to make crafty presents, and you're still spending money to buy the bits in you need to make the presents with! But if you're careful with your budget and really let those creative juices flow (Pinterest helps when you get stuck) then you can come up with some really nice little things.
If you have any cute ideas for presents, let me know!
