I've been thinking for weeks, I must sit down and post a blog to my bloody website! Then you have that sudden dawning realisation that actually, I don't have anything to say!
But today I have, I have something to tell you about. I know if you read my blog then I witter on about weight and random crap really! But yet again, I'm going to talk about weight - well actually, I'm going to talk about health. You'll have gathered that I'm pretty much over people telling me to lose weight, I'm over fad diets and seeing as my motivation is gallivanting across the channel somewhere I'm still not on the exercise band-wagon.
Georgina Fairley owns a lovely little place called Picture Perfect Aesthetics, I've probably spoken about her before. She does fat freezing through lipoglaze procedures, she has an aesthetics nurse who does lips and botox, she does HD make-up and brows, and she did my semi-permanent eyebrows - so safe to say I trust her! So when she brought in her new product range, it appealed to me and as a promoter I trust her. A lot of people jumped on it and I waited - as usual - to see if it lived up to the hype, or if it was another Body by Vi Challenge (which was a disaster and tasted horrific - never do it!). However instead of focusing on weight loss the Thrive product that Georgina offers focuses on nutrition and health. And really that's where I'm at, I want a healthy body, I want to eat nutritional food that will keep my mind clear and focussed.
So I took the plunge, I never tell Sean immediately as he goes off on his "what're you doing that for..." and "you'll never stick to it..." and "you just waste your money...". It's not meal replacement, it's as simple as, take a tablet in the morning (which fills you with buzzing energy), 20-30 minutes later take a shake (which is two mouthfuls if you don't like shakes, which I don't but I just deal) and then slap on a DFT patch - which helps my body absorb considerably more nutrients from my food than I would do normally, and in that vein it helps monitor my blood sugar throughout the day so I don't peak and trough so much. I have to concentrate on having a lot more water throughout the day and bought a water bottle for work which is helping. I also have to really concentrate on eating more throughout the day - I know people think, well she's fat she must stuff her face all the time. I don't. I didn't eat breakfast, I would have had lunch around 4pm and then maybe (maybe not) had dinner around 10pm. Now I consciously think, I must eat now. Fruit for lunch, fruit throughout the day, a smaller lunch and a smaller dinner.
Anyways, off track. Let's get back on track. So normally I give up after a couple of days if it's just not working, but I'm on day 8 with no sense of easing off. I love the energy buzz in the morning which gets my butt out of bed, I feel like I have more energy though-out the day, I have increased mental clarity and I'm eating healthier! I haven't had any serious chocolate since I started (that is a big deal!) and, despite the fact I don't weigh myself, I know I've lost some weight. My stomach looks flatter and I think over the 8 weeks of doing Thrive I will get further benefits - I'm not sure I'll want to stop and that is a great thing.
I've even discussed it with Mum and I think she'll go on Thrive when she gets back from Thailand - I love the health benefits and if I'd recommend it to my Mum, I'd recommend it to anyone.
